Investment Trusts

Investment Trusts

An Investment Trust pools together your money and invests in a portfolio of shares and securities, managed by professional fund managers.

An Investment Trust is a company quoted on the London Stock Exchange, which invests in the shares of other companies or in fixed-interest securities, unquoted securities or property.

It has an independent board of directors who are responsible for looking after shareholders' interests.

Each Investment Trust has its own set of investment objectives.  A trust may aim to generate as much capital growth as possible, while others focus on delivering income, and some may aim to do both.

THE SMALL PRINT

The value of investments and any income they produce can fall as well as rise and past performance is not an indicator of future performance. Investors may therefore get back less than invested and should be aware of this risk before investing.
