This plan is a five year FTSE 100 linked investment that is designed to pay a higher than average rate of interest and return your initial investment at kick-out or at maturity.
If at the end of years 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 the level of the Index is higher than the Initial Index Level, the Plan will mature with a fixed payment equivalent to 6.00% gross per annum (not compounded).
The level of the FTSE 100 Index is based on the average of the closing levels on the five business days up to and including, the relevant kick-out date. The Initial Index Level is the closing level of the Index on 12 March 2013 and the Final Index Level is the closing level on 13 March 2017 using the averaging technique described above
There is “Early Bird Interest” at 0.75% gross per annum, which is added to your investment from four banking days after receipt at Investec until 24 February 2012.
This investment is covered under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in case of insolvency of Investec for the full amount invested up to £85,000 per sole account or £170,000 per joint account.
You will not benefit from dividends under this investment as the FTSE 100 Index is a capital-only investment.
The minimum investment is £1,500.
The last day for investment is 24 February 2012 and for ISA transfers 10 February 2012.
